FUN DAY TO UNVEIL THE CULGAITH OTTER...
Penrith-based developer, Cumbrian Homes Ltd, are holding a family fun day to unveil a stone otter statue at their Otter’s Holt development at Culgaith Village on Sunday 25th April.
Featuring the judging of an art competition from the children of the local Culgaith School, live music from the Penrith Town Brass Band, face painting, a Bar B Q and refreshments and hope for a rare appearance by Olly the Otter, the day is the brainchild of Cumbrian Homes’ Joint Managing Director, Nigel Pallister, himself a resident of the village.

He commented, “In essence, it’s about bringing the local community together in a fun way that can integrate the residents of the new development with the residents of the existing village. We commissioned the sculpture at the entrance to Otter’s Holt almost two years ago and have been awaiting a suitable opportunity but with Phase I proving a success and Phase II selling fast now, we thought now was the right time!”
“We got together with Culgaith School to organise an art competition and have organised face painters and the Penrith Town Brass Band together with a Bar B Q so we hope it’s going to be a fun day and a really good way of bringing the whole village community together.”
The day starts at 11.30 with judging of the children’s art and music from the band with the result being announced at 12.20 prior to the actual statue being unveiled at 1.00pm.
Prices for homes currently available for sale at Otter’s Holt start from £278,000 with further details available from Cumbrian Homes on (01768) 840840 or on the web site at www.cumbrian-homes.co.uk.
