Howgill Skies, Sedbergh

"In the midst of the undulating rural terrain between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales there rises abruptly a compact cluster of hills some forty miles in extent, very clearly defined by encircling valleys. This group is commonly known as the ‘Howgill Fells’.”

Nestling in the Howgill Fells, looking over the town of Sedbergh and the Lune valley beyond, Howgill Skies is a development of just 12 new homes of four different designs, though all are individual in their own way. Designed and built to the latest standards and finished in local natural stone, all homes will benefit from a 10 year NHBC guarantee.

The four designs provide a range of homes to suit a variety of family sizes, ranging from the two bedroom Crook homes to the four bedroom detached Calder and Winder designs whilst the Knott homes are available in three or four bedroom configurations.

Whilst the designs may differ, the high standard of specification is common. All properties enjoy the benefits of mains gas, water and electricity as well as connection to the main sewer drainage. They are also among the most energy efficient homes we have built to date.

Templars' Court, Temple Sowerby

Templars' Court, situated in the village of Temple Sowerby, consisted of just 5 bespoke 3 and 4 bedroom detached and semi detached homes, all built in local red sandstone and natural slate around a central courtyard, with the addition of private gardens and garages.

This exclusive development nestled in the Eden Valley in-between the market towns of Penrith and Appleby. The village of Temple Sowerby has the nickname "Queen of Westmorland Villages", although it’s actual name came from the Knights Templar who were granted the Manor of Temple Sowerby in 1228.

The development took inspiration from the history of the local area, with all house types being named after buildings that had strong links with the Knights Templar.

Holme Eden, Warwick Bridge

A rare example of an horologically themed 'Calendar House' – all of Holme Eden's main features corresponded with the days, weeks, months and seasons in a year. There are 365 windows, 52 chimneys, 12 corridors and four floors for the four seasons.

Today, approaching the newly restored Holme Eden is like taking a journey into the past. Although undoubtedly built to last, its progenitors could never have imagined it would emerge through the centuries as gloriously resplendent as the day it was dedicated. Constructed in the main of red sandstone with numerous castellated chimneys, and a combination of mullioned, transomed, casement and sash windows, Holme Eden - arranged round a striking internal courtyard presents an imposing facade, The porch tower has a Gothic arch entrance and features a large stained glass window with square leaded lights. Many of the reception rooms have vaulted or coffered ceilings, some finely decorated and gilded, and dressed stone fireplaces adorn all the principal rooms. The twelve apartments - some duplex and triplex – continue the calendar theme, each providing extensive and beautifully appointed accommodation in this proud historic edifice.
