After months of planning and preparing, we are delighted to announce we have been granted planning permission (subject to 106 approval) to begin building a new development of 44 luxury homes in Penrith.
The new development, which we can now reveal will be named Carleton Manor Park, will be situated to the East of Penrith, on a site located adjacent to the veterinary centre and opposite the existing Carleton Heights housing estate off Carleton Hill Road.
The development will sit in the area where the once prominent Carleton family resided in the sixteenth Century. This development takes its name from the grand manor house where this illustrious local family lived, and aims to replicate the quality that is synonymous with the era in each and every one of the houses being built. A central feature of the development is the 'Manor’ – a set of luxury apartments, which will overlook beautiful manicured lawns and parkland giving the impression of the former grand residence of the Carleton family.
Carleton Manor Park will consist of a range of six different style houses including four-bedroomed homes, three and four-bedroomed bungalows and two and three-bedroomed apartments within the 'Manor'. Settled behind a grand entrance, the houses will be the highest quality, modern in design and the most energy efficient homes we have built, yet still in keeping with the areas rich and regal heritage
The greenfield site was considered by Eden District Council along with other areas on the outskirts of the town as having the potential for new housing to meet the future demands of the town and local area. A positive decision was reached at the June planning meeting on Thursday (19th)
We expect to start building works in September 2014, with the show home ready spring 2015. It is expected the new development will be extremely popular after public consultation and feedback in 2013, so we encourage you to register online (click here), or call for more information, so you are kept up to date with the latest developments and sales information.
